Learn to survive and thrive in the backcountry

As our name suggests, we are passionate about the Sawtooth Wilderness. We live and breathe these majestic mountains, and we love sharing them with others. We also love to educate others so they can more fully enjoy the wilderness. These are some of the courses we'll cover throughout the year.

Land Navigation

  • Finding your azimuth & back azimuth (or simply learning what azimuth is!)
